It all started with one woman.

In John chapter four we are introduced to the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. An outcast in her society, she walks to the well in the heat of the day to draw water for her household. It is there that she meets Jesus and has a radical encounter that changes the trajectory of her life. As she returns to her community, she delivers the good news to anyone who will listen.

While once marginalized, she becomes a leader who changes the trajectory of history.

This story teaches us about God’s heart. Just as He provides practical needs in addition to spiritual truth, our mission as the church must be to equip and mobilize others to care for the least of these.

“The Well Initiative” seeks to do both. Rooted in the power of prayer and the work of those in practice, it seeks to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while also meeting the practical needs of those who need hope and encouragement the most.

We invite you to join us on this journey as we seek to change one life at a time for the sake of the Gospel.
